World Water Day

March 22 marks the 32nd World Water Day. The Jinghai District Ecological Environment Bureau organized key professional staff to visit water-using enterprises to carry out themed publicity activities, further enhancing enterprise employees' awareness of water resource protection and promoting the green development path of enterprises through water conservation for efficiency improvement and emission reduction.
"Use water resources wisely with careful calculation, manage water resources strictly and meticulously"—the eye-catching promotional slogans, content-rich promotional flyers, and enthusiastically explaining staff members. At the First Branch of Tianjin Youfa Steel Pipe Group Co., Ltd., a science popularization and publicity activity promoting green practices and disseminating scientific knowledge attracted many enterprise employees to stop and take notice

At the event site, the staff patiently and meticulously popularized water-saving knowledge to the employees, explaining the current situation of water resources, water-saving processes, as well as the necessity of saving water, using water scientifically and rationally. Through face-to-face communication and one-on-one exchanges, we promote advanced typical experiences in water conservation and protection, guide employees to develop good water usage habits, further enhance their sense of responsibility for cherishing water resources, protecting the water environment and participating in water governance, and strive to be advocates and practitioners of water conservation and protection.
Shi Xiaoqing, the head of the Water Ecological Environment Division of the Jinghai District Ecological Environment Bureau, introduced that in 2023, the water environment quality of Jinghai District has been comprehensively improved, especially the Sixth section of the Daqing River and the Ziya River section have been upgraded to Class III water. In 2024, the District Ecological Environment Bureau will continue to focus on three "enhancements", strengthening monitoring and early warning, and enhancing the monitoring of assessment sections to provide data support for ecological restoration. Strengthen the supervision of river outlets along the line and urge towns and townships to implement the river chief system well. Strengthen joint prevention and control with the upstream Hebei Province to jointly consolidate and improve the environmental quality of still water.
