Statistics show that the number of complaints rose markedly during holidays in Q2, with a concentrated surge over the May Day and Dragon Boat Festival breaks. The main disputes fall into two categories:

Disputes over tourism service quality arising from travel agencies’ failure to meet agreed service standards (e.g., substandard catering and accommodation, unreasonable itineraries, unauthorized itinerary changes, additional paid items) and poor service attitudes of tour guides;

Disputes over trip cancellation, group withdrawal and refunds caused by weather conditions, transportation disruptions or tourists’ personal reasons.
