Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism Issues a Proposal for Civilized Tourism

The 2024 Dragon Boat Festival holiday and summer tourism peak season are approaching. To optimize Tianjin's tourism environment and create a pleasant travel atmosphere and warm, wonderful service experience for visitors to Tianjin, we issue the following proposals to all tourism enterprises and practitioners, tourism merchants, and operators in the city:

I. Tourism enterprises should optimize services and enhance quality. Adhere to lawful and honest business practices, consciously regulate business conduct, strengthen the management and education of tourism practitioners, continuously improve service quality, focus on building tourism service brands, and work together to create a warm and wonderful tourism environment. Sign tourism contracts with tourists in accordance with the law, and effectively safeguard the safety and legitimate rights and interests of visitors to Tianjin. Do not organize or promote "unreasonable low-price tour" groups and products. Establish and improve tourist complaint registration records, listen carefully to opinions from all sides, conduct timely return visits and evaluations of your own tourism products, continuously improve service loopholes, optimize service processes, and enhance service levels.

II. Tourism practitioners should abide by laws and regulations and provide civilized guidance. Tourism practitioners should adhere to professional ethics, respect tourists' rights, safeguard tourists' interests, and must not cheat or exploit tourists. Widely carry out volunteer services such as civilized notifications, civilized persuasion, smiling service, convenient services, and emergency assistance. Promptly remind, guide, and advise tourists on uncivilized behavior, and jointly promote the formation of a positive trend of civilized travel.

III. All merchants should welcome guests warmly and operate with integrity. Integrity is the foundation of conducting business. All tourism business entities should adhere to professional ethics, abide by industry norms, and operate with integrity. Honor price commitments and jointly maintain price order. Especially during peak sales seasons such as holidays, for rooms or commodities with confirmed prices and offered for sale, do not temporarily increase prices or raise rates, and do not unilaterally breach contracts once orders have taken effect. Resolutely refrain from selling counterfeit and shoddy goods, do not give short weight or measure, and do not cheat or exploit customers. Treat people with courtesy and serve guests with civility, showcasing the warm and hospitable side of Tianjin people to tourists. Spare no effort to create a beautiful, comfortable, civilized, and harmonious tourism environment, and let everyone serve as a good "image ambassador" for Tianjin.
